Jennifer Brickett has ten years of experience working in the transportation industry. Prior to serving as the Director of BATIC Institute, she was a member of AASHTO's environment team. In this role, Jennifer managed all technical assistance and policy support in the areas of extreme weather, climate change, and air quality. She directed a technical assistance program to help State Departments of Transportation respond to and prepare for extreme weather events. She also supported the Center for Environmental Excellence by AASHTO, a cooperative agreement with FHWA. Prior to her work at AASHTO, Jennifer was a consultant at ICF International, supporting policies and programs that reduce transportation emissions. Jennifer has a B.A. in Environmental Economics from Colgate University and an M.S. in Environmental Sciences and Policy from The Johns Hopkins University.
Alex Clegg serves as a Program Specialist with the BATIC Institute. Prior to working with the BATIC Institute, Alex was a WaterCorps Fellow at the University of North Carolina Environmental Finance Center, where he provided financial planning and technical assistance to rural water and wastewater utilities. He has also served as an intern with the Coalition for Smarter Growth and Boundary Stone Partners. In 2015, Alex completed his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina with majors in Environmental Studies and Economics, as well as a minor in City and Regional Planning.
Bud McDonald serves as AASHTO's Federal Programs Financial Analyst and supports the BATIC Institute. He has worked at AASHTO since receiving his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington in May 2009. Bud also holds a Master's degree in Transportation Policy, Operations & Logistics from George Mason University.
